
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Battle Creek police responded to a report of shots fired on Freedom Lane yesterday, Wednesday, Aug. 20, afternoon.
The Battle Creek Police Department dispatched officers to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of Freedom Lane, shortly after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Upon their arrival, officers located three shell casings and one spent bullet in a nearby parking lot. There were no injuries reported; however, the rear window was shot out of an SUV that was parked in the parking lot during the shooting incident.
Police believe that this was a targeted shooting incident and that the general public is not in danger.
