BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Battle Creek Police responded early Thursday morning, April 17, to a reported fight and stabbing in the 40th block of S. 23rd Street.
The victim, a 20-year-old male, attempted to self-transport to Battle Creek Bronson but was intercepted by LifeCare Ambulance downtown. He was then transported to Battle Creek Bronson for stabilization where he was listed in critical condition.
A 22-year-old male suspect is in custody and will be lodged at the Calhoun County Jail for assault with intent to commit murder, pending arraignment.
