BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A 45-year-old Battle Creek man is in custody for an alleged assault against a neighbor over stolen property on Yale Street in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 8.
Police responded to a report of a man with a gun around 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 8. After arriving to the 100 block of Yale Street, officers learned that a confrontation had taken place between two neighbors earlier that same morning regarding stolen property. During the argument, the victim alleged that the suspect, the 45-year-old Battle Creek man, had pointed a handgun at him.
Officers were able to locate the suspect in his home, where he was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect is currently lodged at the Calhoun County Jail for felonious assault.
