BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City sewer crews will work to replace a storm sewer across 3 ½ Mile Road, resulting in a temporary road closure, beginning tomorrow, Monday, April 15.
The specific section of 3 ½ Mile Road impacted by this temporary road closure is:
- 3 ½ Mile Road, from Division Drive to Minges Road South
The storm sewer replacement work is being done at the direction of the Calhoun County Water Resources Commissioner office due to the current storm sewer’s corrugate metal pipe having rusted out. The new storm sewer will utilize a longer-lasting pipe material.
Crews expect the storm sewer replacement work to begin by 7 a.m. Monday, April 15, and be completed by 4 p.m. Friday, April 19, depending on any weather-related delays. The temporary road closure will be lifted at that time, as well. Work hours during the week will generally be from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.
