Other information: Fire Crews arrived to find a light haze of smoke inside the hallway of an apartment building. Upon further investigation fire was coming from a vent fan in an apartment on the first floor. Crews had to pull drywall from the ceiling to gain access to extinguish the fire. Fire did breach to the second floor, were a sprinkler was activated. 

Once the fire was exposed, crews quickly gained fire control. Salvage and overhaul was performed. Three apartments were damaged and water had to be shut off to the building until maintenance could fix a broken sprinkler issue. No civilians or firefighters were injured. The American Red Cross was contacted to help with the neighbors who could not stay in their apartments.
