BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City signal and sign crews will complete upgrades to traffic signal equipment at the intersection of Capital Avenue and Goguac Street, resulting in a temporary four-way stop at the intersection, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 14.
This work will include upgrading the cabinet and controller located at the intersection of Capital Avenue and Goguac Street.
During the upgrade work, the traffic signals at the intersection of Capital Avenue and Goguac Street will need to be temporarily shut down. As a result:
- Stop signs will be placed at the intersection, with one on either side of Capital Avenue SW and one each on Goguac Street East and Goguac Street West.
- The intersection of Capital Avenue and Goguac Street will operate as a four-way stop, until the completion of the upgrade work.
The temporary four-way stop, as described above, will be in place until the work is completed. Once completed, the stops signs will be removed, and the traffic signal will return to normal operation.
Crews expect the upgrade work to be completed by Friday, Nov. 17, with work hours generally from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
There are no expected road closures during this work.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during all work on our city’s infrastructure.
