Most city Neighborhood Planning Councils meeting again

After a pandemic hiatus of more than two years, most of the city’s Neighborhood Planning Councils are starting to meet again this month. 

NPCs are the groups of neighbors from the same area of the city, which meet to discuss common issues, topics, and concerns in their neighborhoods. They share this information with city staff who can work with them on improvements and changes. 

Five of the city’s eight NPCs will start meeting again this month:

(Please note that NPC 1 has met for September already; the next meeting is NPC 3 tomorrow, Sept. 8.) 

All meetings begin at 7 p.m. City staff members attend to provide Code and Police updates in particular, and other information as needed or requested. Anyone who lives or owns property in the geographic area may attend their NPC meetings. 

The other three NPCs are 9 – Rural Southwest, 10 – Westlake/Prairieview, and 11 – Minges Brook/Riverside. The city will work with them in the spring to determine if they wish to start meeting again.
