Police investigate homicide on North Broad Street

Battle Creek Police today are investigating a homicide in the first block of North Broad Street.

The victim is 61-year-old Daniel Murray, who died from apparent gunshot wounds at his home on North Broad.

Just before 11 a.m. today, a family member called police for a welfare check on Murray, concerned that they were not able to reach him. Police searched the home, and found Murray.

Police continue to process the crime scene and investigate. Police do not believe the community is in danger.
