Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department responded to a reported vacant structure fire at 11:49pm on Janoah Street. Rescue 4 arrived to find the structure fully involved and declared a defensive attack. Engine 2 and Rescue 3 pulled 3 attack lines, Engine 5, Truck 6 and Squad 6 set up defensive tactics and Car 3 assumed Janoah command. The fire was extinguished after an hour and Truck 6 set up aerial operations for hot spots. The Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.
