Say hello to Ride Calhoun — a new era for transportation in Battle Creek
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – As of October 1, 2025, the Transportation Authority of Calhoun County (TACC) officially began operating under its new identity: Ride Calhoun. This marks a major milestone in the evolution of public transportation across Calhoun County, following the final day of service under the Battle Creek Transit name on September 30.
While the name and branding have changed, the people behind the service — our drivers and support staff — remain the same. Service has continued without interruption, and riders can expect the same reliability and care they’ve always known.
To support this transition, TACC entered into a Support Services Agreement with the City of Battle Creek, effective October 1 through June 30, 2026. Through this agreement, the City is providing operational, maintenance, administrative, managerial, financial, and technical services to TACC, ensuring a smooth and stable launch for Ride Calhoun.
