BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Battle Creek Fire Department's Engine 4, Engine 5, and Car 3 responded to a report of an automatic fire alarm at Motus Integrated Technologies, shortly before 3:30 a.m. today, Saturday, Jan. 10.
Upon arrival at 2500 Logistics Dr., the BCFD's Engine 4 found smoke throughout the building and a large pile of foam product on fire in the center of the facility. Engine 4 removed the flaming material from the building using a nearby pallet jack, preventing further spread. Once outside, the material was extinguished without further incident. Engine 5 assisted with ventilating the structure, while Car 3 operated as the command unit.
Fortunately, there were no injuries nor major damage reported during this commercial structure fire incident.
