BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – City crews will complete tree removal and clean-up work along Minges Road West, resulting in a temporary road closure, today, Wednesday, April 30.
The area affected by this temporary road closure is:
- Minges Road West, from Lynwood Drive to Hickory Lane

While this work was originally scheduled for today, high winds yesterday, Tuesday, April 29, brought down part of the tree identified for removal. Since this part of the tree became caught in power lines, Consumers Energy worked yesterday to remove the fallen part of the tree and to restore lost power. Today’s work will complete the tree removal and clean-up work started yesterday.
Crews expect to begin this work by 9 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, and anticipate being completed no later than 2 p.m., with the temporary road closure ending by then, too.
We appreciate our neighbors’ understanding and patience during all work to improve infrastructure across the City of Battle Creek.
