BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The City of Battle Creek will begin annual resurfacing work on Monday, April 28, resulting in traffic shifts and some road closures during later stages of the work.
City contractors will begin work on the following roads:
While most traffic impacts will involve lane shifts, there will be a full road closure for the indicated section of Michigan Avenue W. during the milling and paving phase. The city will provide updated information before this occurs.
Pedestrians should use caution and follow sidewalk detours, as ramp replacements and ADA upgrades will occur in these areas.
This project is part of the State Transportation Improvement Program, funded by Michigan Department of Transportation state funds and Battle Creek major street funding.
