BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police responded to a report of a shooting incident on Goguac Street yesterday, Monday, Dec. 30, resulting in the unrelated arrest of a Battle Creek man with warrants.
Police arrived on scene shortly before 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, to 20 Goguac St. E., after receiving a report of a shooting incident and a potential shooting victim. Upon their arrival, officers located a vehicle leaving the area and stopped it. While this vehicle was determined to not be connected to the shooting incident, officers did arrest a Battle Creek man, from the vehicle, on unrelated warrants.
Police were able to determine that two vehicles had pulled up to the home, located at 20 Goguac St. E., and the vehicles’ occupants exited and proceeded to enter an argument with the home’s occupants.
Three rounds were fired into the air by an unknown suspect; however, no one was injured and there was no property damage reported. Three shell casings were found in the front yard of the home.
Police believe that this was an isolated incident, and the public is not in danger.
