Other information: Battle Creek Fire Department crews arrived to find a small fire in the basement of a single-family home on Post Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, evening. The Engine 3 crew quickly extinguished the fire with an air pressure water can. Fire crews then ventilated the home. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was determined to be due to a build up of lint in the home's dryer.
