BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, Battle Creek Police responded to the sound of gunshots in the Post Addition neighborhood.
A short time later, three individuals arrived at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victims include a 45-year-old Battle Creek man with a gunshot wound to his back, a 28-year-old Battle Creek man with a gunshot wound to his leg, and a 37-year-old Springfield woman with a gunshot wound to her leg.
Police determined that the incident occurred following a fight between two women in the parking lot of the #1 Legends Club, located at 13 Porter St. An unknown man then pulled out a gun and began shooting.
Authorities believe this is an isolated incident and that the public is not in danger. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Battle Creek Police Department.
