[ARCHIVED] One man injured during shooting near Grenville Street and Lathrop Avenue Friday morning

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A 35-year-old man sustained a bullet wound to the abdomen near Grenville Street and Lathrop Avenue in the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 9.

Battle Creek Police, with the assistance of Emmett Township Department of Safety, responded to a call for assistance and found a 35-year-old male who reported he was shot while riding his motorcycle in the area.

The shooting victim was uncooperative and did not provide suspect information. He also refused to be transported to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital and was treated on scene by LifeCare ambulance and the Battle Creek Fire Department.

No additional injuries were reported.
