Other information: The Battle Creek Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 23 Boardman Ave. Rescue 2 and Car 3 arrived within three minutes to find smoke showing from the front porch. Engines 1, 3, and 4 assisted on the scene.
The fire was immediately extinguished. Several areas inside the structure were also set on fire and smoldering. The structure is not occupied and was boarded up prior to this incident. The intentionally set fires are being investigated by the Fire Marshal and Battle Creek Police Department.
