Two Springfield men are in jail after Battle Creek Police stopped them on the south side of the city, and discovered drugs.
Members of the BCPD Highway and Hotel Interdiction Team saw the men leaving a hotel in the Beckley Road corridor at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, and stopped the car for a traffic violation.
Police searched the vehicle and found suspected methamphetamine. With the help of the BCPD COPS Unit, road patrol, and the Fusion Center, police got search warrants for two nearby hotel rooms associated with the men. During the searches, police found more suspected methamphetamine.
Both men are in the Calhoun County Jail; the 34-year-old driver for drug charges, and the 35-year-old passenger for a parole violation.
