BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City sewer crews will complete an inspection of a water main resulting in a temporary road closure along Kendall Street and a lane shift on Dickman Road, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, June 13.
Crews are inspecting the water main, that was capped underneath the nearby railroad tracks, to assess if a possible lining will allow the water main to be put back into service.
The specific sections of Kendall Street and Dickman Road impacted include:
- South Kendall Street, from West Dickman Road to Grove Street, will be temporarily closed with a posted detour
- West Dickman Road, at the intersection of Dickman and South Kendall Street, will have the right, eastbound lane closed with a lane shift in place to divert eastbound traffic to the left lane
Crews expect the work to be wrapped up by Thursday, June 15. Neighbors are encouraged to be aware of crews and equipment in the area, as well as to follow all posted signage.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during all work on our city’s infrastructure.
