Tomorrow -- Tuesday, June 25 -- a city Sewer crew will replace a culvert on South Helmer Road, near Tiffany Lane. Failure of the culvert is believed to have caused a large sink hole in the road. Field Services will repair the road afterward.
This work likely will keep South Helmer closed for at least Tuesday and Wednesday, weather permitting. Watch the city's website and social media for updates when we're able to re-open the road.
South Helmer Road remains completely closed between Beckley Road and Tiffany Lane, due to a large sink hole.
The closure is for both directions of traffic, includes emergency vehicles, and will be in place until further notice. Please seek alternate routes to travel in this area.
