[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Jackson Street closure extended until tomorrow

Road work ahead

UPDATE: We expect the full closure to continue at least through Thursday, May 9. The contractor is working through how to address some unexpected utility findings. We will share updates as we learn more.

A section of Jackson Street downtown will be closed tomorrow – Monday, May 6 – for sewer work.

Jackson will be completely closed between Capital Avenue SW and McCamly Street from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. After that, one lane will open to traffic for the rest of the day. Watch for flaggers controlling traffic.

A contractor will complete a sewer tie-in for the Heritage Tower parking lot. Crews expect to complete this work Monday, with both lanes of Jackson re-opened Tuesday morning.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during this, and all work on our infrastructure.
