Other information:. Battle Creek Fire Department Engine 2, Rescue 3, Rescue 4, Engine 5, Truck 6, Squad 6, Car 3 and Car 6 responded to a reported fire on the outside of a vacant office building. A passerby called the fire in. Upon arrival fire crews observed active fire from an exterior light fixture on the west wall. Engine 2 quickly extinguished the fire and checked the interior of the building for any fire or smoke extension. No fire or smoke conditions were noted on the interior. Overhaul was completed and electrical service to the light fixture turned off.
