The 10 spaces directly next to the Battle Creek Police Department building will be blocked and unavailable starting on Monday, April 15.
These spaces, on the south side of the building, will be inside the construction fence as work continues on developing a parking lot where the old Police Department building stood. Work includes removing asphalt and concrete from John Patterson Way where it will become part of the parking lot, and pouring new curb.
Because of the unpredictability of Michigan spring weather, an end date for this work is unknown. Stay tuned to the city’s website and social media for updates once the parking spaces are available again.
Visitors can park across Division Street in the Commerce Pointe parking lot, and use the traffic light and crosswalk to reach the PD building.
There is one handicapped parking space inside the fence at the east end of the police building – the end of the building where visitors find the 10 PD spaces. The sidewalk in front of the Police Department will be accessible during this work.
We appreciate everyone’s continued patience as we work through the final phases of work at this city facility campus.
