Road closure on E. Roosevelt Ave. beginning Monday
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – On Monday, Sept. 10, as part of the improvement project at Verona Pumping Station, a city contractor will be connecting a hydrant to the 30” water main on E. Roosevelt Ave., between Capital Ave. NE and Wagner Dr.
During this work, the road will be closed to through traffic. Signs will be posted for a detour, using E. Roosevelt Ave., N. East Ave., and E. Emmett St. Emergency vehicles will not have access.
Crews will be working from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The work is scheduled to be complete by Wed., Sept. 12, at 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
