The city’s contractor is expected to begin our crack fill program on city streets today.
This year’s crack filling program will be complete by May 18.
Crack filling is one of our street programs that prevents the cracks from widening and spreading, keeping water out and maintaining recently-treated roads for another two to three years. The filler is a cold liquid asphalt.
The roads will be open at all times, however, please expect intermittent, temporary lane shifts and delays on these roads. Please proceed slowly through these areas when workers are present, and abide by all traffic signs and control measures.
Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during this work. As always, work is weather dependent.
