[ARCHIVED] Road closures set for weekend homecoming parades

Battle Creek Central High School

The city’s high schools will celebrate homecoming with a variety of events this weekend – that includes the annual parades, which will cause some road closures.


Battle Creek Central – Friday, Oct. 6 –

Closures will be in place from approximately 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. in the area of W.K. Kellogg Auditorium on Van Buren Street and moves:

  • South on Capital Avenue
  • West on Michigan Avenue to United Way
  • North on United Way to Champion Street
  • Ends in the parking lot of C.W. Post Field

Lakeview – Friday, Oct. 6 –

Closures will be in place from approximately 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. The parade begins at 5:45 p.m. from the parking lot of the Columbia Plaza on South 20th Street, and moves:

  • West on Territorial Road
  • South on 28th Street
  • Ends in the area of Lakeview Middle School on South 28th

St. Philip Catholic Central – Saturday, Oct. 7 –

Closures will be in place from approximately 12:25 p.m. to 1 p.m. The parade begins at 12:30 p.m. from the parking lot of the St. Philip Tiger Room, on West Van Buren Street, and moves:

  • North on Monroe
  • West on Van Buren
  • North on the one-way drive just west of Battle Creek Central
  • Ends in the parking lot of C.W. Post Field
