[ARCHIVED] City offices closed Labor Day; Full Blast closed for maintenance that week

Flash Flood water park

The city’s administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day.

Battle Creek Transit bus and van services will not run on Labor Day, resuming regular weekday schedules on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

Please note that Waste Management, the city’s trash, recycling, and yard waste hauler, also is closed on Monday. This will result in a one-day service delay the remainder of the week.

We encourage everyone to enjoy the final weekend of Flash Flood Water Park for the season – the outdoor pool and attractions will be open their final day on Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with free admission from 3-6 p.m. for community appreciation.

Please note that the Full Blast facility, fitness center, and walking track will be closed Sept. 3-11 for annual maintenance, gym floor resurfacing, and to close down the water park after the 4th.

The Recreation Department office will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 5, 6, and 7, and closed on Sept. 8. Regular hours will resume on Monday, Sept. 12. The facility’s fall/winter hours are 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
