[ARCHIVED] Home rehab programs seeking contractors

Contractor breakfast meeting flyer

Local government and nonprofit agencies invite area contractors to a breakfast meeting to learn about participating in housing rehabilitation programs.

The event will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 at Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity, 286 Capital Ave. NE. Breakfast will be provided and there will be time for questions.

Groups that run housing rehab programs for low- and moderate-income Calhoun County residents are seeking help from general contractors, plumbers, electricians, HVAC companies, roofers, painters, and others in the housing industry. Contractors must be licensed and insured.

Representatives will explain the programs, which are federally funded. All contractors are welcome, and the partner organizations are particularly looking to increase the participation of female and minority contractors.

RSVP for this event by Jan. 31 to Deb at 269-966-2502 ext. 103, or accounting@habitatbc.org.

This opportunity is presented by Battle Creek Area Habitat for Humanity, Calhoun County Land Bank Authority, CareWell Services Southwest, City of Battle Creek, Community Action, Disability Network of Southwest Michigan, and Southwest Michigan Community Development Corp.
