10/30/2023 UPDATE:
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The newly-constructed roundabout at the intersection of Skyline Drive and Hill Brady Road is now open, and city contractor crews are now in the final stage of construction for the project.
The roundabout at Skyline and Hill Brady is fully functional, however some traffic lanes are slightly narrower than normal to allow for the final stage of construction, which will include contractor crews working along the sides of both Skyline and Hill Brady.
During the final stage of construction, this area will still be an active construction zone. To ensure the safety of workers, drivers are reminded to keep traffic speeds to a minimum and to be aware of both workers and construction equipment in the area.
Crews anticipate this final stage of construction to last around two weeks, with the completion of the project expected in mid-November. Work hours during this stage will generally be 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
There continues to be no expected impacts to any Battle Creek Transit routes during the roundabout construction work, including during this final stage.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during all work on our city’s infrastructure.
