Beginning Monday, May 9, city contractors will be starting sidewalk inspections and repairs in the Washington Heights area.
The following areas will be worked on starting Monday, May 9, and expected to conclude by the end of the month, weather permitting. The estimated work hours are between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- East side of Kendall St., between Greenwood Ave. and Roseneath Ave.
- East side of Washington Ave., between Greenwood Ave. and Walter Ave.
- South side of Roseneath Ave., between Kendall St. and Washington Ave.
- South side of Northside Dr., between Washington Ave. and Hanover St.
- South side of Seedorff St., between Hanover St. and Congress St.
- North side of Greenwood Ave., between Kendall St. and Washington St.
- North side of Walter Ave., between Washington Ave. and Congress St.
- North side of Parkway Dr., between Hanover St. and Helen M Montgomery Ave.
- West side of Hanover St., between Northside Dr. and Helen M Montgomery Ave.
- West side of Hanover St., between Parkway Dr. and Seedorff St.
- West side of Congress St., between Seedorff St. and Walter Ave.
- West side of Helen M Montgomery Ave., between Hanover St. and Parkway Dr.
- West side of Washington Ave., between Roseneath Ave. and Northside Dr.
Both sides of:
- Howland St., between Roseneath Ave. and Greenwood Ave.
- Wilks St., between Seedorff St. and Walter Ave.
- Hazel St., between Seedorff St. and Walter Ave.
- Orin St., between Washington Ave. and Hanover St.
- Bowen Ave., between Kendall St. and Washington Ave N.
- Seedorff St., between Washington Ave. and Hanover St.
- Parkway Dr., between Kendall St. and Helen M Montgomery Ave.
- Blenken Ct., between Parkway Dr. and Howland St.
- Helen M Montgomery Ave., between Kendall St. and Parkway Dr.
- Northside Dr., between Howland St. and Washington Ave.
- Washington Ave., between Northside Dr. and Greenwood Ave.
- Hudson Ave., between Northside Dr. and Helen M Montgomery Ave.
No road closures are in place; however, pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the areas should be aware of construction activity and follow posted signs and flagger instructions. Residents should avoid parking on or blocking sidewalks in this area.
