Battle Creek Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 38-year-old Battle Creek man.
Officers responded to the first block of West Goguac Street at 4:31 p.m. today, about a report that someone was shot. When they arrived, they talked to several people, including the victim.
The man had one gunshot wound to the abdomen, and LifeCare Ambulance took him to the hospital for treatment.
The suspects left the scene before police arrived. After the initial investigation, police believe the victim and suspect knew each other, and that the shooting was the result of a dispute. Police do not believe there is a threat to the public.
