BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — This past Sunday, July 25, Battle Creek Police, Battle Creek Fire, and other emergency first responders worked to recover a body from the Kalamazoo River off Riverside Drive.
Police have identified the man as 63-year-old Luis Romero-Jimenez. It appears that he was homeless, and living in the Battle Creek area.
He was identified by his fingerprints, and police have notified his family.
The cause of Romero-Jimenez's death is still under investigation.
