Sidewalk ramp work to begin on Main Street

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Hunter-Prell will begin sidewalk ramp upgrades along Main Street on Monday, July 13.

During this work, portions of the sidewalk will be closed as work progresses along Main Street.

The work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  The work is expected to take several weeks to complete.

Following the completion of the sidewalk work, Lakeland Asphalt will mill and resurface Main Street, from Columbia Avenue to Dickman Road, which will include the small section of Main Street, from Hamblin Avenue to Division Street.

During this work, lane shifts will be in place but the road will remain open.

This project is in coordination with the Calhoun County Road Department for its section of Main Street, from Columbia Avenue to the city limits.

Pedestrians and motorists traveling through the work zone are advised to obey all traffic regulators.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during this and all work.
