Water valve replacement/ VÁLVULAS DE AGUA
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Water valve replacement work will take place tomorrow morning, July 7, causing temporary water outages and a road closure.
Water crews will replace valves on Tuesday, July 7, resulting in temporary water outages for the listed areas:
- Upton Avenue., between Dickman Road and city limits west of Angell Street
- Forest Street., between Dickman Road and Upton Avenue
- Magner Street, between Dickman Road and dead end
The estimated shut off time is tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
City neighbors in this area should be prepared to be without water and for a potential boil water advisory when service returns. Additional information will be made available to the media, and through the city’s website and social media, should it become necessary.
Areas and times could change due to unforeseen circumstances. Door hangers have been placed on all affected homes.
During this work, Forest Street, between Dickman Road and Upton Avenue, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Emergency vehicles will NOT have access. Motorist should seek alternate routes.
