In response to Gov. Whitmer allowing construction work to resume in Michigan last week, the city’s Inspections Division has fully restored its services.
Please note that, in compliance with the governor’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order, City Hall remains closed to the public.
Anyone wanting to submit permit applications, plans, and payment can do so using the BS&A online system, or by mail. The appropriate mailing addresses are listed on the applications here: http://www.battlecreekmi.gov/397/Building-Inspection-Permits.
Inspectors will continue to provide most inspections remotely – using photos, FaceTime, Skype, or other visual means, to ensure that conditions for approval are met, as determined by the inspector.
