NPC 9 - Rural Southwest

Authorization:
Resolution No. 423 dated November 20, 1979, adopted a Neighborhood Planning Council Organization Plan and established five Neighborhood Planning Councils. The Plan was expanded by Resolution No. 620 dated April 5, 1983, adding three Councils. Resolution No. 209 of June 28, 1983, increased members to 35. In 1992, membership went into a decline and remaining members were switched to NPC #11, though #9 was kept, on inactive status. Resolution No. 82 (Revised) of January 20, 1998, reactivated #9 by appointing new members.

Appointing Authority:
City Commission with recommendation from Planning Commission.

Members:
No less than 15, no more than 35. Compensation: None

Terms:
Three years, staggered.

Special Requirements:
Any person having demonstrable or substantial interest within the defined boundaries of the Council area.
