Each container cannot exceed 50 pounds in weight. Waste Management will haul them away along with your regular trash. No plastic bags, please. Please note that this is for city residents only.

    Come out in August 2017 for the third annual Cereal City Kids Triathlon! Cereal City Kids Triathlon is a branch of Cereal City Triathlon. The goal is to promote healthy, active lifestyles for kids ages 4-13 and under in a fun, non-intimidating atmosphere. Cereal City Kids will be hosting its third annual event with a fun triathlon to teach kids the joy of multi-sport events as well as to promote physical fitness as a fun, family friendly activity. We expect about 200 kids/athletes at multiple levels of ability to participate! The Cereal City Kids Triathlon can be done either as (1) the Triathlon as a single event or (2) as a 4-part race series.

  10. Backyard Burgers and Brews Fest

    August is about to get a few degrees hotter than normal when some of Battle Creek’s finest burger emporiums and restaurants fire up their grills at this year’s Backyard Burgers & Brewsfest. Add to that a rockin’ music lineup and wrapping up this summer is gonna be sizzling. In addition to mouth watering sliders and great music on the stage, there’s also a popular backyard activity area for adults filled with corn hole and giant jenga as well. Visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Battle Creek slider as well as a formal judging competition. Attendance is free. Burgers and Brews will be available for sale at the event separately.
