PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
On Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., the Battle Creek City Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Commission Chambers on the 3rd Floor of City Hall to receive comments regarding applications developed by Battle Creek Transit and area human service agencies and non-profit organizations for FY 2018 State funding to support their transportation programs for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
The proposed applications are on file at Battle Creek Transit, 339 West Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek 49037, and may be reviewed during a 30-day period, January 5, 2017 through February 3, 2017 between the hours of 8:00am to noon – 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Written comments regarding the applications must be addressed to Richard Werner, Transit Manager, at the address shown above and received no later than February 5, 2017. Written comments may also be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The City of Battle Creek will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered in the meeting upon notice to the City of Battle Creek. All citizens are advised that the City of Battle Creek/Battle Creek Transit has prepared applications for State of Michigan financial assistance for FY 2018 (October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2018) as required under Act 51 of the Public Acts of 1951, as amended, for Federal assistance as required under the Federal Transit Act, as amended.
