​BATTLE CREEK TRANSIT NOTICE OF FY 2017 GRANT APPLICATION DRAFT PROGRAM OF PROJECTS In accordance with the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) of 2012, Battle Creek Transit hereby gives notice of its intention to apply for financial assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Battle Creek Transit is requesting a total of $3,664,785 through the following funding sources:

Battle Creek Transit ensures that the level and quality of transportation service is provided without regard to race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The proposed application is on file at Battle Creek Transit, 339 W. Michigan Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49037 and may be reviewed during a 30-day period (August 3, 2017 to September 1, 2017) between the hours of 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is also posted on the City of Battle Creek’s website – Battle Creek Transit encourages and welcomes any comments or questions from area residents regarding the proposed use of Federal funds to support these projects. Effective August 3, 2017, a thirty (30) day comment period will be provided to receive any oral or written comments pertaining to these projects. If sufficient interest is indicated, a public hearing may be scheduled to receive additional input on these projects. If no significant comments are received during the thirty (30) day period that would change the scope of these projects, the draft program of projects will automatically become the final program of projects that will be considered by the Federal Transit Administration.
