NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS
DEVELOPMENT OF BATTLE CREEK TRANSIT
TRANSPORTATION MASTER PLAN (TMP)
Public transportation is vital to the future of the Battle Creek region. Battle Creek Transit has been developing a Transportation Master Plan (TMP) to help set service priorities for coming years.
Two public meetings will be held on August 20th and 21st to present the final recommendations of the TMP.
Whether you are an existing transit user or simply an interested citizen, we encourage you to attend one of the public meeting sessions to learn about the potential service improvements and share your views on how well the recommendations meet the mobility needs of the Battle Creek community.
PUBLIC MEETING DATES, TIMES, AND LOCATIONS
Monday, August 20th from 12:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.; and
Tuesday, August 21st from 5:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
These meetings will be held at W. K. Kellogg Airport, 15551 South Airport Road, Battle Creek, Michigan.
Battle Creek Transit will be extending regular bus service on August 21st until 9:15 p.m. to enable individuals to attend the public meetings. On both days, you can take any of the regular buses to the transfer center and catch the free shuttle bus to the Airport for the public meeting. This shuttle will leave the transfer center by 12:30 p.m. on the 20th and by 5:30 p.m. on the 21st. After each public meeting, it will be back at the Airport to transport you back to the transfer center so you may catch your bus back home.
If you reside in the Battle Creek are, but do not live near any of our bus routes and require transportation for either of these public meetings, please contact Battle Creek Transit's dispatch office at (269) 966-3474 no later than August 16th to be added to the transportation list. We will contact these individuals on August 17th with details of travel arrangements.
