Police reports

Traffic accident reports can be obtained in a variety of ways:

  • United States mail at the Police Department Management Services Division for a $6 fee (Cash or Check only).
In accordance with Public Act 218 of 2013, all requests for accidents that are less than 30 days old can only be obtained when a completed Statement Made Pursuant to Act 218 of 2013 form (PDF) is received.

City Clerk
All other types of reports, report attachments, and photographs must be requested from the City Clerk's Office at City Hall, through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
