Annual Action Plans

About the Plan


In the spring of each year, the City of Battle Creek reports to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development how it will use federal Community Development funding for the program year through the Annual Action Plan. It reports on citizen participation and goals for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME, Homeless and Special Needs funding, and public housing. 

Each program year, the City of Battle Creek reports to HUD how it plans to spend Federal Community Development funding in its Annual Action Plan. The 2018-19 Draft Annual Action Plan is currently available for review and public comment.

Citizens wishing to make comments should do so in writing, by April 25, 2018, to: Chris Lussier, Community Development Supervisor, City of Battle Creek, Community Development Department, City Hall, Suite 320, 10 N. Division Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014.

As part of the City of Battle Creek's Citizen Participation process, the City will hold a formal public hearing on the Draft 2018-19 Annual Action Plan on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, Room 301, 10 N. Division Street, Battle Creek, Michigan.
